Description:
The itinerary of Castel San Vincenzo is charming one, in the Molise side of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise Park on the slopes of the Mainarde (southern Apennines).
The landscape is breathtaking, the view of the country framed between the mountains and the lake is a real pearl.
The walk includes a visit to the historic center with its alleys, and the characteristic views. Afterwards we will go to the lake of Castel San Vincenzo and then immerse ourselves in the history of the archaeological site of San Vincenzo al Volturno, one of the most important Benedictine monastic sites in Italy and among the most important in Europe.
The workshop will give us a precise idea of a fundamental figure within the monastic community and that is the herbalist monk or apothecary monk, expert in herbs used for medicinal and food purposes.
Participants: 5 – 15 people.
